In a rapidly changing world, understanding the risks individuals face, and how they perceive them, is crucial to keeping people safe.

Our trended items report on global risk perceptions and experiences will be the fourth and final World Risk Poll report to be published in 2024, based on data collected in 2023. Scheduled for publication in November, and following on from the 2019 and 2021 Polls, it will track people’s perceptions and experiences of the greatest risks to their safety, providing a unique longitudinal global dataset that identifies how these risk perceptions and experiences have changed before, during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. The findings can be used by governments, regulators, businesses, NGOs, and other stakeholders to shape policy and target meaningful interventions where they are most needed.
