Invitation to Tender

A new opportunity to join our ‘World Risk Poll into Action’ funding programme is now open. This supports organisations to develop impactful research and interventions and increase the utility and influence of data generated by the World Risk Poll (WRP) - the first global study of perceptions and experiences of risk to people’s safety.

The Strategic Learning and Collaboration partner will provide support to extend the impact of the programme, through building a community of practice involving researchers, practitioners, and policymakers, and implementing a comprehensive learning and capacity-building strategy. You will work with nine World Risk Poll grant-holders in the first year, helping them to achieve their intended objectives, and identify synergies and opportunities for collaboration across the network.

We expect to commission the Strategic Learning and Collaboration partner for up to 3 years (commencing May/June 2023) to cover the period of initiation, delivery, completion, and consolidation of learning once the projects have ended.

Objectives

  • Capacity building to strengthen the grant-holders' pathways to impact and enable them to demonstrate the impact of policies and practices informed by their projects and interventions.
  • Driving collaboration among grants and potential stakeholders, to further research and/or the development of interventions, which improve the safety outcomes for individuals and communities.
  • Develop a WRP community of practice, by increasing knowledge shared among grant holders, non-successful applicants as well as other (non-grantee) Poll users and stakeholders, so that others continue to value, invest, and champion the Poll.
  • Improved understanding of the value and need for the WRP as well as our role in it as a funder.

Skills and Experiences

We are looking for an individual that can work cooperatively and flexibly with the World Risk Poll team, grant-holders, and other Poll data users to develop a strong learning culture and community throughout the implementation of this programme.  You must have experience in building strong communities of practice and influencing decision-makers through research and evidence.

Applications

For further information, and to find out how to apply, please see the attached PDF.

Please submit completed proposals to [email protected] no later than 5pm on 5 June 2023. Applications will be shortlisted in early May with interviews in mid to late June.
