To mark the launch of the second report of the 2021 Lloyd's Register Foundation World Risk Poll, we will be hosting a free webinar on Thursday 22nd September at 3pm BST / 10am ET to present and discuss the findings with a panel of world-leading experts.
This webinar has now passed - catch up by watching the recording.
The effects of climate change are already being felt across the world. As climate-change related severe weather events become more frequent, it is critical that we assess and improve the resilience of communities and countries to minimise the resulting harm.
The report, A Resilient World? Understanding vulnerability in a changing climate, will be published on Wednesday 21st September, and contains the second set of results of the 2021 World Risk Poll, based on around 125,000 interviews conducted by Gallup in 121 countries during 2021.
The World Risk Poll offers a unique insight into experience of disasters – including those related to severe weather – across the world, and exposes an unequal distribution of global resilience through the World Risk Poll Resilience Index.
This webinar, hosted in partnership with Reuters Events as part of Climate Week NYC 2022, is a valuable opportunity for those involved in disaster risk management and preparedness, civil engineering, sustainability and international development to gain a unique understanding of where interventions are most needed around the world in order to build resilience and protect those most vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
